NOT TO BE MISTAKEN FOR MONTI MBX
Bristle Blasting process is a patented MONTI technology that is able to remove corrosion and/or coatings, clean the surface and simultaneously create a rough surface texture.
The surface quality achieved using the Bristle Blasting process is comparable to a surface produced using other blasting methods in relation to the level of cleanliness and roughness according to DIN EN ISO 8501-1 of Sa 2½ and anchor profile up to 120µm (Rz).
How does Bristle Blaster® work?
A polyamide belt fitted with special wire bristles (Bristle Blaster® belt) is driven dynamically by the drive unit. During rotation, the tips of the wire bristles are accelerated (via the accelerator bar design). As a result they impact the surface to be worked with additional kinetic energy and increased velocity. Immediately after the impact the bristle tips retract from the surface.
Consequently, surfaces that have been treated with Bristle Blaster® have a surface profile and roughness similar to traditional grit blasting processes.
What are the benefits of Bristle Blaster® technology?
•Surface cleanliness of SA Sa 2½ (or SSPC-SP-10)
•Roughness capability up to 120µm
•Easy to operate and to transport (weight of Bristle Blaster® Pneumatic : approx. 1.2kg)
•No complex equipment, machinery or work preparation required – only compressed air or electric power supply
•No additional waste products
•Ideal for spot-repair
